In the words of Matt...
"We grew up down the street from each other in the small town of Elkhorn, WI. We spent our childhood riding the bus together; back then we were just good friends. At 16, I started picking her up every day for school in my new Mustang and maintained our friendship througout the years. After high school, we parted ways up until 3 years ago.... We met at a bar and rekindled our friendship until we both realized we wanted to be more than just friends. I proposed to her on her 23rd birthday in Arizona when the mountains were turning pink at sunset. Shortly after, we found out we were going to have a baby girl. And, at the same time, we were buying a house on the street we both grew up on. I would love to give Nicole the wedding she's always dreamed of because she means the world to me! But it is difficult making ends meet with all the things we have going on being so young in today's society. To make her happy on our wedding day would make me the happiest man on Earth!" |

In the words of Megan...
"Nick just happened to be my brother's best friend, so we knew of each for a while. It wasn't until one day when Nick saw a picture of me at my brother's house that he thougth I was pretty cute! After running into one another around town and me just happening to "notice" him working right outside my parent's house on the concrete, Nick finally asked me out! We immediately fell in love... hook, line and sinker!! Nine years later, I was still waiting and making comments about being ready for marriage. On October 7th, I was being a little "sassy" about it. Later that night, while sitting on the couch for a normal Sunday night, Nick began talking about possible wedding dates and I was like... "WHAT?!?!" Then he asked me if July 13, 2013 would work. He then took a ring from his pocket and before Nick could say anything, I asked "Is that from Kohls?" He said "NO!" and asked me again if that date will work and of course I said "YES!" The number 13 has always been a number we both have loved. Our birthdays are both on the 13th, so we figured there is no better date to get married than the 13th... and it's even more special to use to be getting married in 2013!! |

In the words of Amelia...
"I met Matt at my high school graduation party in June of 2009. My friend Mike dragged Matt along so he wouldn’t have to go alone, but luckily, we hit it off. We both were leaving for college in 2 ½ months, both away from home, me at Marquette and Matt at UW Whitewater. However, we wanted to spend the rest of our summer together and see where it could go. We decided to keep things going when we went off to college, still getting to know each other, but I soon found myself coming home on weekends just to see Matt. The distance was difficult and we went through rough times. My few close friends at Marquette would tell you that Matt became my life; I was so sure he was the one for me that everything else came second. Towards the middle of my sophomore year at Marquette, I really began to struggle with the future I wanted and how Matt was such a huge piece of it; this was critical in my decision to not continue with Air Force ROTC. Once I made the decision to remove myself from ROTC, my relationship with Matt kept getting better and better; we grew and I was able to let myself fall completely in love with Matt. Since then, our friends and family always comment on how effortless we make happiness and our relationship seem. He proposed after 3 ½ years of dating on December 2, 2012 in Lake Geneva. Today, we still do the distance as we are both at school, but we are looking forward to our future together. I will graduate in May and go into the Police Academy sponsored by the Lake Geneva Police Dept. and Matt will graduate this summer and be a personal trainer in Elkhorn. Because we are both students, paying for a wedding is challenging, but we couldn’t be more ready for marriage and to be together for the rest of our lives. Matt tells me all the time, 'We are forever and for always, no matter what.'" |
